The Race to Alaska (R2AK) is a semi-annual, ~750 mi race from Port Townsend, WA, to Ketchikan, AK. The only rules are no engines and no (planned) support. First place gets $10K. Second place gets a set of steak knives. Everyone wins. I was the lead photographer for 2022 and 2023, right before it became "semi" annual. Aside from COVID, it was one hell of an adventure.
